Day8 or Day5? Mannum to Blanchetown

It has dawned a beautiful day with a promising forecast of no rain and lots of sunshine. We have tried the handicap method today sending the groups off in intervals. The first group got away early but the rest of the riders couldn't wait around ss no-one seems to want to be last. Morning tea was on the banks of the river in the glorious sunshine and the group all arrived in a 15 minute interval. This makes life so much easier for us but also makes for a more cohesive group.
Lunch was at Swan Reach and again on the river. Not much in Swan Reach but the riders managed to find what they wanted at the General Store. We took a tiny road down to the park for lunch and we were unsure the riders would spot the road, so I stood out on the entrance to the road for about an hour directing them to the store and then to the park. We arrived in Blanchetown by 2.30 and 6 took cabins but the rest camped. Someone had their music blaring until one of the riders complained at 9 pm and then the music stopped but the party continued. Kirsten moved her tent early just to get away from the noise but the rest of us went to sleep listening to the noise. Most were in bed by 7.30
